OPR Burial Records
« on: Tuesday 18 November 14 20:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Does anyone know at what age of the deceased 'son/daughter of..' would no longer be added to an OPR burial record.

Was there any set age I wonder or was it until the marriage of the individual?

It really all depends on the record keeper and varies considerably. There was no rule. If the person was not married and still living at home, there would be a greater chance of their father's name being mentioned. The younger the deceased, the greater the likelihood of them being designated the child of so and so.

Mmm - I thought that might be the case. Ah well, more digging required!

Thanks anyway.
