It may be better if you started a new topic on the Ireland board as you have ties with both places and include a link to this topic by copying & pasting the URL at the top of the screen.

Find your way to the board you are interested in ie Ireland

When you are there, before you click into a topic, look for a button at the top right of the screen that says 'new topic' (in between notify and poll)

Click on the button and a new topic will open.

Start by entering a subject title and then move down to the body of the message. Type away and edit until you are happy then click 'post' under the message. Topic created.

You've already successfully created this topic albeit a little while ago.

Rather than try fro the McIntyres is there any chance of checking the 1841 or 1851 census for my McFarlane family in Dumbarton?

Dugald McFarland
Agnes McFarland
Agnes (daughter born 1831)

This is all I know of the family except daughter Agnes married John Wright in Glasgow in 1854. Her death certificate gave her parents name and that she was born in Dumbarton. Mother was nee Morrison.

Any help most appreciated
