John Whistler (yeoman) married Maria Grover 05 Nov 1730 at Odiham He died in Eversley 21 Sept 1791.  Desperately seeking his date of birth and names of parents

Hi Rod,

In my copy of the Phillimore's marriages for Odiham the marriage names are listed as;
John Whislar - Margory Grovar.

I only mention this in case you have no luck with "Whistler" although the latter is more upto date.
The other aspect is you could post on the Hants board as Odiham is in Hampshire.

The IGI (FamilySearch) have a John Whisler with two baptism dates;

Chaddleworth , Berks 25-10-1703 s/o Daniel & Jane
            "                 "      4-10-1719   "   Daniel
I can only presume the first John died young.

Thanks Alan.  This is the first time I've heard mention of Daniel and Jane Whistler.  However the John I'm looking for was married in 1730, so this seems to rule out the John c. 04 Oct 1719.  Now, if it was the John born in 1703 things might take on a different light.  Rod
