Peggy V D Smeathers

I am helping a friend with their tree and we are stuck at her grandmother 

The name is 

Peggy Velma Devereaux Smeathers  born 1921  Leicester who married
Cyril (Anthony) Wilson 1943.......second marriage was to Gordon Kenneth Chandler(1932 – 2014) in 1954

I know her mothers maiden name was Devereaux 

Any help finding any information would be appreciated as we are both in the US and cannot access record offices

There is a Thomas William Smeathers marrying Beatrice Lorne S Devereaux in Northampton in 1899

ref 3B 235 Jul qtr

If this is the right couple they would have been married for 22 years before Peggy was born though
