Hi Jane.
If offer still stands could you look for a James Gray, died 24 March 1787 in Preston, Linlithgow. Also his son James Gray who died about 1800 in West Lothian (no further details).

I only have access to the MI's pre 1855 by Mitchell and Mitchell. None of the names in the previous 3 posts appear there
