Just found out that Both Gerald and James were both Killed WW1.

Gerald in Mercantile Marine Reserve and was one of 3 men Killed aboard the HMS CITY OF BELFAST on the 15-10-1917.

James was Killed on 9th May 1915 serving with 2nd Btn Royal Munster Fusiliers in France.

What would be best avenue to source their records, hopefully with photos??
I recall somene getting records with photo from Merchant navy circa 1920s fr a lad who had left navy and was killed in Irish Civil war...wondering would same source have photos on File for Gerald.?

As a member of the Mercantile Marine Reserve rather than the Mercantile Marine (Merchant Navy) he has no records either on the Irish Mariners site or FindMyPast.
Mercantile Fleet Auxiliaries are difficult to research.  I know poster HMac has specialist knowledge on this subject. Hopefully he will see your post.
