John KELLY and Mary ALLAN

Looking for a John KELLY (born abt. 1785) who married Mary ALLAN abt. 1819.  Mary Allan's parents were Robert Allan and Grace Sharp. 
I know there are a lot of Kellys on IOM but I think they may have married there before moving to Irvine, Ayrshire.  Their daughter Joan (1820-1898) was a poet who died in the Cunningham Combination Poorhouse, Irvine.  A newspaper clipping stated that she was a native of the IOM (but census returns state she was born in Irvine, so perhaps her parents or grandparents were from IOM?)

I don't think there was brother.  Joan Kelly and her mother appear in census returns for Irvine right up to the death of Mary Kelly (1870) and then Joan Kelly (who died in the Cunningham Combination Poorhouse, Irvine in 1898).
