Anne Moore, died in Roundstone 1853, grave help please.
« on: Friday 28 March 14 04:53 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I am trying to find out about Anne Moore, who was an unmarried sister of Captain John Moore RN. Captain Moore died in Galway, 1849. I found a death notice in the Freeman's Journal from Dec 20 1853, reporting the death of Miss Anne Moore, sister of the late Captain John Moore of Galway. The notice said she died in Roundstone. Being unmarried, she may have been living where the family originally came from. I am wondering if there is anywhere I can find a grave inscription for her, or any other way to trace this family. Any help or suggestions welcome.

The following takes a while to open, but it gives some background to the area, if you search (eg. Ctrl-F, edit/find) the document for Roundstone, you will see references to local graveyards including neat google streetview links:

Have you checked Griffiths Valuation for the area (print date 1855, so the survey wouldn't have been too long after her death)? Simply search on the placename Roundstone and click on occupants to see if you recognise the name of anyone she might have lived with:
