parents of Michael Egan & Catherine Foley

Hi can anyone help looking for information of parents of Michael Egan who married Catherine Foley, in Templetown Church Wexford, 1873, they were born about 1838, in the Duncannon area looking for their parents, not in the church records, Michael's father was John Egan they were from the Fethard On-Sea area. DEB

As you can see on the linked thread, you would need to get the marriage certificate to get their fathers' names. That may then help you to go further.

The marriage index details are:

New Ross 1873 volume 9 Page 395 where they both are on the same page.
A photocopy of the marriage entry is 4 euros and you can order from here. https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx

Scroll down the page re Marriages and you will see the reference to 4 euros payment.

I see that you have the information I have given and more on another site.
You have witnesses to the marriage, so you should have their fathers' names and perhaps townlands where they were living.
