Photo of young man for dating please

For once it's not a McAllan photo 

Please could I have an approximate date for this one?

It has square corners, and a red line drawn around the photo. The back of the mount is completely blank - nothing at all to identify the photographer.

Velvet collar, drape coat - he could be a 1950's Teddy Boy were it not for the trousers and shoes. Not Edwardian, he's earlier than that. I would say 1880's - 90's but I'm sure Jim can be more precise.

It's 1860's & probably late decade.
Young men were starting to favour this style of morning coat as opposed to the frock coat of their fathers.
