Hi Mick
I am Elsie May's daughter.
Now I know who you are. I stayed with my aunt Eva and uncle Mick for a few weekends in the early 1970s when they had the bakery. I remember the bakery well and uncle Mick at that time was a counciller for the Maroochey Shire council. They had a lovely big house, whatever happened to it?
I never met your father Gordon, though my elder and younger sister had. Your father was very good to my younger sister Sue and travelled from Ipswich often to visit her.
From what my elder sister remembers, George died in PNG after the war. We'll have to sus it out.
Take care and we'll track down those Irish ancestors, won't we?

Hi,
On my maternal side I have a James Smyth (b 1847) who married Annie Graham (b 1852) in Sligo Ireland. There is also a mention of the name Heywood in some family notes.
Have any of the names or dates mentioned match your search?
Regards,
Ron.
