Loveridge

Looking for info on brothers Albert (b1878) & Fredrick (1880) Loveridge. Both born Axminster to Isaac and Sarah (nee Pomeroy). parents both died in 1886 and the boys went to orphanage in Bristol.  I 'think' Albert may have married about 1901.

Hi Tioman, in 1901, Albert has been transcribed as LORRIDGE aged 22 Single occ Cabinet Maker b Axminster, he is a boarder at the YMCA at 248/250 Kennington Park Road. Lambeth Census Ref RG13/413/45/17

Possible marriage, Albert Loveridge to either Constance Ellen Musk or Charlotte Eliza Holtam June 1901 Cheltenham 6a 933

Hi again Tioman, in 1901 a Frederick Loveridge aged 20 b Axminster is shown as an assistant on a farm at Middle Farm, Dinder Street, Wells, Somerset Census Ref Rg13/2315/91/2

Possible marriage Frederick Loveridge to Gertrude Eva Spiller (One lady missing from page) March 1910 Axminster 5b 5

Brilliant... so it looks as though they ended up going back to London again after getting wed in Gloucestershire from the birth record.

Hi, I am also researching the loveridge family. My great great grandfather was James loveridge ,brother to Isaac loveridge who is Albert and Frederick's father. My research has found Albert and Frederick in different places in 1891census. Albert in an orphanage in Cheltenham and Frederick in Ashley? I think that Frederick made his way back to the Axminster area and his descendants are still around. Would be good to hear any information on them. I wondered why they ended up in an orphanages so far away from their home! They had family nearby, my great great grandfather for example. The British newspaper archives website has death notices for the boys' parents, Sarah and Isaac. Davren

Just saw your posts regarding Albert and Frederick Loveridge, brothers raised in the orphanage. My father is one of Frederick's sons.  Fred and Albert were in the Muellers Orphanage in Bristol.  Fred married Gertrude Spillar and Albert married Constance Musk.  Frederick and Gertrude had 13 children (4 remaining).  Albert and Constance had 6 children (1 died at age 2).  Possibly 1 of Albert's children remaining, not sure.  Albert and Constance raised their family in London.  Fred and Gertrude raised their family in Devon & Dorset England.
