 :) OK backing off this thread, their is an earlier one that goes on for 8 pages titled Baty family in Sunderland, all I have done is contained within it and a hell of a lot more by fellow RCs

I have Penshaw parish microfilm, do you want me to look up Blakeson, Margaret, James Alland and William and see who the mother is on there?  That parish wrote the mother's maiden name way past the Barrington years.  Won't be until tomorrow though.

hi Janis, has to be, my indebted thanks to you. hodgson / Hudson, is why my brain is like a washing machine. , to round up , john ,b, 1827 , m, ann hodgson.,Elizabeth + the ,4, as posted  ,m, ann Hudson.,that leaves ,sarah 1840,isabell 1842+joseph smith baty 1846. looks like , john1827,named a son john adam - think ive missed something, also, copperase, could be, hoppers house , ( mason ? ) as on Jonas 1871, George hopper,son? ,age 28. hum ., thanks again . alan.

Looking at the BT's for Penshaw Jonas Adam Baty was born 24 Jun 1838.  You can see if you can decipher the place they were living as it looks the same as in the parish record  page 533 of 804 in the Bishop Transcripts for Penshaw.  The "Mason" is the father's occupation.
