I believe that there were four consecutive generations of Harrison Lees in Limerick:

Harrison I m. Mary Osborne on 12 May 1793 at St John's, Limerick

their son Harrison II m. Ellen Byrnes on 22 Feb 1830 also at St. John's; he d. 22 Feb 1866 aged 56.

their son in turn Harrison III (b. 15 Dec 1830) m. twice
(1) Adelaide Frost on 26 May 1853 in Killeely; she d. 24 Oct 1857 aged 23.
(2) Catharine Sophia Myles on 4 Nov 1863 at St. Michael's, Limerick.
He d. 30 Jan 1869

and their son Harrison IV (b.3 Jun 1869 in Kilkee, co. Clare, four months after his father's death) died in infancy later in 1869.

To complicate matters, Harrison IV's older brother William Henry Lee (9 May 1868-25 May 1934) then changed his name to Harrison William Lee!

Their sister Ellen Margaret (Eleanor) Lee married John Henry Parker, my second cousin four times removed.

I have never come across any instance of the spelling Lees in this family.

I note at
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGNT-FM8
that John Lawlor married Elizabeth Lees on 26 Oct 1819 in Ardcanny parish in county Limerick.

Of the eight children of Harrison Lee I, six were baptised in St. John's and one in St. Michael's.  I have found no christening record for Harrison II but a pedigree by his grandson Richard Morton Lee (1897-1977) confirms that he was son of Harrison I.  Neither have I found any evidence that any of this Lee family moved from Limerick City out to Ardcanny.

Are you sure that Harrison I and Harrison II both died in 1866?

Dear Pwaldron,

Thank you for your reply. I noted that you mentioned that Harrison 1  had 8 children, can you please let me know the names and any other information you have on these children also where this information came from ? as we believe that Harrison 1 and Mary Osborne were also the parents of Elizabeth who married John LAWLOR in 1819. Also you asked why I thought that both Harrisons died in 1866, when I wrote C1866 I only meant around that date.

John LAWLOR & Eliza(beth) nee LEE were the parents of William LAWLOR   born C1838 in Askeaton, Ireland and he married Elizabeth HENNESSEY in Ireland in 1862.
They came to Australia in 1865 with two children & settled in Tenterfield.
Their children are as follows:

Mary LAWLOR born 1863 in Limerick, Ireland
Margaret Elizabeth b.1865 in Limerick. (? died on board the ship )
John Charles       born in Sydney in 1867
William Godfrey Massey LAWLOR born 1868 in Sydney ( see below)
Margaret Eliza    born 1871
James George    born 1872
Robert Montague born 1874
Isabella               born 1877
Edwin                 born 1882
Hannah               born  ?

William G.M.LAWLOR m.Muriel ERHART in 1915 at Goomburra,Darling
                                                                                              Downs
their children

William George LAWLOR born 1916 in Allora, Queensland
Ellen Elizabeth                born 1918 in Goondiwindi
Josephine Sarah              born 1920 in Allora
Murial Clara                     born 1922 in Allora
Lorna Daphne                  born 1923 in Allora

Josephine Sarah LAWLOR married Hector MACKAY - These are my husband's parents.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Harrison II's death record is the only evidence of his age that I have found:

Name: Harrisson Lee
Registration district: Limerick
Record type: DEATHS
Registration date - quarter and year: 1866
Estimated birth year: 1810
Age: 56
Film number: 101583
Volume: 5
Page: 337
Digital GS number: 4200215
Image number: 00148
Collection: Ireland, Civil Registration Indexes 1845-1958

I don't recall seeing the Lee vault on my visits to St. John's churchyard in Limerick, but the Limerick Chronicle of 22 Feb 1866 at
http://www.limerickcity.ie/media/Lee-1.pdf
confirms that he was buried there.

Could Harrison II (like one of his grandsons) have become known in later life by a different name from that transcribed from the baptismal registers?

pwaldron,

A few weeks back I e.mailed (to your personal address you had given me),  FULL copies of 2 original Wills that I previously mentioned in my last response on Rootschat. Also I have sent a couple of follow-up e.mails but, to date, I have not had any response from yourself.

I am interested in knowing what you thought of these Wills as they had quite a lot of information in them that refers directly to your family.

Thank you
Christine

Dear pwaldron,

I am just doing a follow-up on the Lee family and as we were in contact before I was hoping that you might have some new information on Elizabeth Lee born 1796 in Ireland to Harrison Lee and Mary Osborn.
Some time back I e.mailed (to your personal address),  FULL copies of 2 original Wills that I had mentioned in my previous response on Rootschat. Also I have sent a couple of follow-up e.mails but, to date, I have not had any reply from yourself.

I am interested in knowing what you thought of these Wills as they had quite a lot of information in them that refers directly to your family and whether you have some records showing who Elizabeth married.
We have not been able to find any other marriages for our John Lawlor in this area at that time so I strongly believe that it was Elizabeth he married, but I would like to prove that the our John Lawlor and the John Lawlor that Elizabeth Harrison married is one in the same.
I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Cheers, Christmack
