Hello,

Are you looking for information re his being a billiard champion or his family life? What do you already know please? That would prevent duplication and unnecessary searching.
1911 indexes show several J H in Bolton.
Regards
Heywood

Hi Heywood and Suz,
Many apologies. Hit 'Post' too soon. John was born c1871, by 1911 he was a schoolmaster, married with one son, living in Bolton. I have a medallion with the inscription, John Hampson Billiard Champion 1910   Have the 81, 91, 1901 and 1911 census.
Many thanks,
Megran.

Thanks.

I can't see anything online. It may be that he was a champion at his local club.
You could try Bolton Archives perhaps?

Hi Heywood,
Thanks for that, I will try the archives now. Hadn't thought about them.
