Help with parish
« on: Friday 19 July 13 16:27 BST (UK) »
Does someone have local knowledge about Collon Roman Catholic parish that is mostly in Co Louth but partly in Co Meath?

I am interested in knowing the names of the townlands that are in the Co Meath part of Collon.

I'm not familiar  with the area but looked up Handran's Townlands in Poor Law Unions (based of GRO data 1885) which gives the following townlands in Collon District/Parish that are in Co. Meath
Broomfield Glassallen and Starinagh.

Kerrisk, Healy, McGuire, Duggan - Kerry and US

The R.C. Parishes are usually not the same as the Civil/Church of Ireland ones even if they share the same name. Not quite what you are looking for but might be useful:

This shows what records might be available-Collon R.C. Parish

This is the map that goes with it-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
