I am looking for any information on Owen McMahon who married Mary Smith. Owen was a stable boy for Mary's family after the castle was taken from the McMahon's for supposedly not converting religions and given to the Smith family. Mary was then disowned by her family for changing religions when she married Owen. Owen was born around 1795. I have a possible lead that he was from Kilskyre, but not sure.

Did they go to New York and do you know what family they had

I believe they did come through New York when they left Ireland. They ended up in Wisconsin eventually where they settled down. Their children were Phillip (1825), Mary Ann (1831), and Patrick (1821). My line continues with Phillip who is my gggggrandfather.
