Illegitimate Children of Celia Patience Walker c. 1900

Hi all,

We believe Celia had illegitimate children late 1890's to early 1900's and are trying to find any records in relation to illegitimacy (other than birth) from the Marsh Gibbon area of Bucks. Any help gratefully received!

Apart from birth certs - what other records are you hoping to find?

Do you already have the childrens names/birthyears from the 1901/1911 censuses?

1901 she is 25 single and living with her father Henry.  There are 2 grandchildren - Sidney W aged 5 and William aged 1.  They could be the children of one of her male siblings

The entry gives no clues that they are Celia's children as their relationship is to the head of the household (ie) Henry. 

She married in 1908 to Stephen Webb

Are either Sidney or William with her in 1911 and are they shown as her sons?

Just 1 son with Celia and Stephen in 1911.

I think you will have to get the birth certs of Sidney and William to ascertain their parentage.

They are clearly grandchildren of Henry, and nephews of his daughter Winifred, but the only way to confirm which of Henrys children was their parent will be to get the birth certs.
