Susan Curran
« on: Wednesday 16 April 14 15:12 BST (UK) »
I have found on family search the marriage of Susan Curran to Francis Flanagan Oct- Dec 1890, Ballyshannon. Trying to establish the father of Susan.
This was a civil marriage, the question is where would I get this marriage cert?  ???

Thanks,

Maree

don't know if they are related, but they should be able to help you.  I left Ballyshannon when I was three and I have never been back.  I think everyone in Ballyshannon would now everyone in Ballyshannon.

There is a Ballyshannon site but you have to go through one on the search enginee like google of ask jeeves, then type in the search box -Growing up in Ballyshannon, the look for the page that mentions Paddy Donagher.

OK will see what I can dig up still have contacts in Belleck Fermanagh...
I do know that there were relatives of Francis Flanagan in Ballyshannon, but Francis and Susan ended up on the Curran farm in "Sruhanure" Fermanagh, Francis was originally the farm hand and after the death of Susan's brother Patrick they married, they never had any children as Susan was a mature age on marriage, Francis being a much younger man. I have found their grave in St. John the Baptist cemetery in Toura/Roscor.
Their Headstone reads;
In Loving memory of
Francis Flanagan, died Oct.27th 1955
his wife Susan, died Feb 2 nd 1921
Patrick Flanagan, died Oct. 19th 1985
Aged 79yrs
Margaret Flanagan, died April 17th 1989 aged 76 yrs
 From a local in "Sruhanure" Patrick was a nephew of Francis..
