Title: Killymoon Castle, Cookstown, County Tyrone
Post by: Tyresson2012 on Thursday 26 September 13 11:55 BST (UK)
Killymoon Castle

The castle is still in the Coulter name and my great grand uncle John Coulter bought it for £100 in 1922.

There was a picture taken shortly after the purchase in 1922 of John Coulter and his four brothers but as yet I have not been able to find it.

Does anyone have any idea where might be best to look for it?  Would local media records go back that far in Tyrone?

Looks like this is not a recent picture but it may be the the picture you are looking for no longer exists or isn't available online. Have you tried asking ALL living relatives if they know of it?

That link is of Annie Naylor??  ???

Yeah my first line of enquiry was to ask ALL living relatives, hence why I am now asking online where it may be viewed by someone not related......  ;)

Sorry, link was for a previous topic but I've now corrected it.

You didn't mention that you've already checked with all your living relatives which is why I suggested trying that.

Yes tried all relatives as a first port of call, then tried local newspapers.  It would have been quite a big event back then.  I did find some information on it in English papers too but still no joy with the picture as yet  :)
