These can all be bought from NZ BDM Historical Records, a printout is cheaper than a certified copy and will possibly have more information on it.

Family Search have the Probate Records for
both Rose BUTTOLA the mother who died on 14 March 1935

and her son Pietro Antonio BUTTOLA who died 17 August 1952

both of these records can be downloaded free from above website in their probate Records 1843 - 1998. There are several pages in each document.

The daughter Rose Kate Mary BUTTOLA may not have married, as she is referred to by her full name in these documents. It seems they were the only issue of the marriage of Rose to Pietro.

Pietro Antonio BUTTOLA wife as named in document is Ophir Gendoline McNaught BUTTOLA

I just typed out Buttola's on the electoral roll for the last hundred years and then managed to lose the whole thing   But there wasn't anything new in there. Pietro, Rose and their two children stayed in Poerua their whole lives. A new generation appears in 1963, most likely a child of Peter and his wife. As they are probably still living I won't post their names, but I can PM them.

I would agree with "firefly74" in reply #1 that there are indeed some interesting articles to be found about Pietro/Peter Buttola at 'Papers Past'. In particular, a couple about Mr. Buttola and the Poerua Reef in the 'Grey River Argus' dated 9.7.1910 & 11.7.1910.

Mr. Buttola wrote a number of letters to the editor of the 'Grey River Argus newspaper.

The 'Hawera & Normanby Star' dated 8.8.1916 records the value of the estate of Mr. Pietro Buttola.
