There is nowhere you can look at the 1911 census of Scotland for free.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Unless you visit the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh. That's what us old timers used to have to do!

Indeed - but even that isn't free. There is a daily charge.

When I first started in the 1980s, it was about £6 for a day. It crept up over the years to £17, then back down to the present £15.
