This lady was the daughter of John and Margaret Evans (father a chemist). I wonder if anyone can find out whether she married at all, or the date/place of death, please ?

Some more detail on that marriage. 

It took place at St Peter's Church in Sandwich,
George Herbert Jones was 33, a Bachelor and a Private in the A.P.C., resident at Buckland, Dover.  His father's occupation was given as deceased.
Mary Mabel was a Spinster aged 33, of the Parish.  Her father was also noted as deceased.
The witnesses were W.K. Nazer, M.E. Evans and Constance Ann Robinson.

Mary Mabel Evans was baptised on 20 October 1884 at St Peter's Church, that is St Peter in Thanet.  Her parents were recorded as John Robert and Mary Elizabeth.  As you say he was a Chemist.

Was her mother one of the witnesses at Mary Mabel's marriage? 

As far as I can tell she died in Preston (District) the final quarter of 1960.

Trees on another site have an actual date of death of 30 October.
