That's the problem, it may not have been SE19, it depends exactly where The Upland was. Dulwich was SE19 but I think Camberwell was SE 5

I am curious as to why the correct address is so important :)

Yes I wondered that too,I thought it must be that the OP couldn't find her after 1933 perhaps?
But obviously that isn't the reason if he knew that she'd married and moved to Kensington.

I just wanted to get the County correct for stuff up to 1934, thought there might have been a simple answer!

After the few initial posts I was prepared to leave it at that.....

At the time you are talking about an envelope would not have had all that location information on it.

The following would have got there:

Dr. Alison Rutter Kerridge
The Uplands
Camberwell
SE5

In fact, just her name, The Uplands and Camberwell, would have sufficed.

And if posted in the same area, at this time, letters when collected from Pillar Boxes and taken back to the delivery office, local post would have been culled for delivery same day.

So in that instance, only her name and The Uplands would have been required.

I wonder, do you live abroad?  As it appears that you do not quite understand the postal address system.

It it rare for post within the UK to state a country, unless posting from England to Wales or Wales to Scotland etc.
Fleming (Bristol) Fowler/Brain (Battersea/Bristol)    Simpson (Fulham/Clapham)  Harrison (W.London, Fulham, Clapham)  Earl & Butler  (Dublin,New Ross: Ireland)  Humphrey (All over mainly London) Hill (Reigate, Bletchingly, Redhill: Surrey)
Sell (Herts/Essex/W. London)
