This is the first page. Are the passengers below travelling with him or just the next ones on the list?

Also what does it say in column 11? Is it Brother M A Askew or something else?

I'd say that Maggie StClare on the next line is with him-they come from the same town, and the last two columns are ditto and same destination

Agustus Askew, 42, male, married, nurseryman, can read and write, British/English, from Gateshead-on-Tyne, nearest relative/friend at home is Brocker (?) M.A. Askew of 16 Telford St, Gateshead-on-Tyne, his cousin. Final destination is Avon Park, Florida.

Travelling with him is Maggie St Clare, 22, female, widow, housekeeper, can read and write, British etc, also from Gateshead, nearest relative etc is same as above, same destination.

Each paid for own ticket, Agustus has $200 and Maggie $50, neither has been to the US before.  They are both going to join Frank Thompson of Avon Park, De Soto (?) County, Florida, who is an uncle of each of them. Frank has "been here 35 years"; there is also over-writing which looks like "alien mother brother".  Agustus is 5 ft 9in, with fresh complexion, fair hair and blue eyes, born "Gatesboro" [Gateshead??].  Maggie is 5 ft 7in with fresh complexion, dark brown hair and brown eyes, and was born in Newcastle.

HTH  :)

Thanks for the help!! I thought it said "Gatesboro" too, but the Askews seem to have come from Guisborough, Yorks, so was wondering if it was just them misunderstanding his accent maybe.

I think I'll have to look into who his lady companion was too (and find a death for my great grandma Hannah Askew, to make sure he wasn't eloping with a younger woman!)  :)

Thankyou so much for your help, its so much clearer now

ps. someone kindly attached it to an email for me in reply to a previous post. The original seemed clearer, less "pixelly", think I may have done something to it when enlarging and reducing it  :-\
