Many thanks for that one! Do familysearch have a marriage available between the parents by any chance?

Thankyou very much for that. I wish I had access to these so I could carry on. Familysearch doesn't seem to want to search for burials or marriages or baptisms sometimes in that area. Also it seems Doncaster records don't go back before 1735?

Hi
Doncaster and District FHS have produced a CD for the baptisms 1557-1935, Burials 1557-1855 and Marriages 1750-1837 for St George's church.  It costs £12 plus postage.  Their web site has details http://www.doncasterfhs.co.uk/content/sales-services or it will be available to buy at their family history day 18 October.

There is a birth for a William Hatfield 14 Feb 1764 son of Isaac and a burial 11 May 1839 (died 3 May) aged 75 which appears to fit.

William (occupation labourer) and Ann had the following children -
Mary 24 Nov 1793
John 17 May 1795
Isaac 27 Aug 1797
William 3 June 1804 born 24 April 1804. Father's occupation given as a sawyer which is the same as on William's burial details.

Hope that helps

I really appreciate that, thankyou for searching for those. I might invest in that CD, it sounds like a good idea in case i can search further back for Isaac and such. I do notice in your information above the marriages don't go any further back than 1750, is that due to a loss of records at some point, or  did people marry at a different parish?

I would like to maybe find Ann Wood, and then possibly find information on Isaac too. I'm guessing checking the same parish would be my best bet?
