Needham family England/New Zealand/Australia

Hi everyone

Does anyone have any information on Ancestors/Descendants of Francis Needham (c 1769 - Aug 1835) & Charlotte ________ (c May 1778 - 1870) possibly around Leicestershire or Northampton.
Children = Francis, Lucy, Joseph, Sarah, Henry, Charles, Charlotte, John.
I am trying to confirm my line which I believe descends from Joseph.

Hello Rosie
I am new to using this forum and am attempting to cover several counties with this topic. I am still trying to learn the conventions of use. Could you please advise me if I am using the forum incorrectly, and if I am, what is the accepted convention/s for covering two or more counties.

Hi Ned

There aren't really any set conventions regarding posts on more than one forum board but, as a courtesy to other users, if you do need to make multiple posts it helps if you copy and paste the URL's as Rosie has done to prevent duplication of effort.

There are some chatters here who only stay on the county boards they are familiar with or have access to resources for that county.

There are others who flit all over the place posting when & where they can.

It is so frustrating when you unknowingly spend time on one of these posts and then find out someone else posted the same information elsewhere.

If you are unsure which board to post on, start with the 'common room' or 'England General' and see where your replies take you. If you don't get useful replies after a while, then by all means post on another board but copy & paste the previous URL.
