Hi Cat

Have you had any joy with this? What other information do you have as I am from Ballymena myself and may be able to help out. Good Luck

hi caroline
no i've had no replies.  I know that John McCaughrin lived in James Street Ballymena - his daughter Maggie was my grandmother.  She married James Gildea and they lived in Belfast.

Hi. James Gildea, who you mention in your post was my great uncle.  He was killed in World War 1 in France. His younger brother, Robert, was my grandfather. They lived in Springwell Street in Ballymena. I'm sorry I don't know anything about the McCaughrins though.
