Secret Sins
Sex, Violence & Society in Carmarthenshire 1870-1920

While researching my family history I have come across a list featuring my relative DRUSILLA MARKHAM and a page reference 215.

Could anyone help with a look up for me please?

Thank you

Thank you for that advice.  That Google book preview was particularly helpful as it highlighted the one mention of my Ancestor's name - a clairvoyant or teacup reader.

That made sense of her claim in the 1911 Census to be employed as "Correspondence, Science".  A postal version of crossing her palm with silver, presumably.

Now to look for the history of clairvoyants in South Wales.

Best wishes

The book is very interesting - but I've not found an ancestor in it - you're lucky.
Should have a copy, but books have a habit fo walking when lent - so can't help at present - sorry.
