Thanks Rob, it was good to hear your words about the Mike we knew, but also to find out more about the Mike he kept hidden. He remains in our thoughts - often pass St Denys and give him a little wave.

Very sorry indeed to hear this news. Mike was a wonderful help to me when I first started my research, and I know he helped countless other people too.

I've only just seen this and I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing.

If anyone could unscramble my family, it appeared to be Mike and although I am still floundering, I would be floundering in an entirely different place had it not been for him.

My condolences to his family.  Mike was an exceptional man and will be hugely missed.
