Not sure that the 1891 census is the right chap - on the 1911 census there appears to be a  THomas George Morrell bn c. 1886 living in Widford, Ware with a couple of children and a wife Madeline.

Definitely need the birth cert!!

1891 was based on the info at the time - things moved along after that and birth cert has now been applied for

I realise that the birth cert has been ordered, however during the course of the thread the 1891 census is not refuted with any certainty - all that is mentioned is that there is no one with the correct version of the name in the census.  As we all know there are any number of reasons why people appear on censuses with different names (or do not appear at all).  I was merely providing a means of ruling out the 1891 Thomas Morrell with some certainty.

Any updates re. the birth certificate ?

I don't know if I can help but I've done a lot of work on the Artz line and wondered if Florence Jane's birthdate was, 1891 ? I know that seems quite late because it appeared Thomas was a bit older.
