Stanislaw Mazur vel Butynski
« on: Wednesday 19 November 14 12:42 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a record of the death of Stanislaw Mazur vel Butynski.  He was a Polish airman who stayed in England after the war and lived in Chopwell (then Co Durham but now Tyne and Wear).  He married an English girl named Stamp (Christian name unknown) during, or just after, the war.  He died somewhere in County Durham in 1998 aged about 82 or 83.  Can anyone help with the detail please?

Thanks to glencare and nanny jan, the speed of your responses was amazing.  I live just a few miles from Gateshead so I can pick up a certificate in person.  Many thanks to you both

Thank you barryd, for the photograph of Stanislaw Mazur vel Butynski.  He has changed a lot since he was a young airman!  AlthoughI just live across the valley from where he was married, I found out about him (and got a copy of his wedding photograph) on a visit to the aviation museum in Krakow, Poland.
