Percy and Mabel......

Percy served in WW1.

http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/first-world-war-1914-1918-cef/Pages/image.aspx?Image=392393a&URLjpg=http%3a%2f%2fdata2.archives.ca%2fcef%2fgpc006%2f392393a.gif&Ecopy=392393a

(Scoll down for the image)

Military files are currently being digitized so his full file will eventually be on line. The file can also be ordered if you didn't want to wait.

While overseas, he apparently married Mabel Bashford in 1918 in Bromley R D.

Mabel arrived in Canada 10 Nov 1919 as a Military Dependent with a destination of Tillsonburg Ontario.

Mabel died in Toronto 24 Mar 1935 and was buried in Prospect Cemetery.

Percy and Mabel can be found in Toronto in the 1935 voters list.

So it looks like Phyllis may have been a second wife. Due to privacy laws the index of marriages in Ontario is only available to the public up to about 1928 or 9 with a new year added annually. You would need to meet certain criteria in order to obtain a cert beyond this time period. Otherwise, we depend on newspaper announcements, etc. for this type of info. Perhaps an obit will turn up for Percy or another family member which will provide some more info.
