No birthplace shown in post - assuming born Rhyl you can narrow a search by just using births registered in St Asaph RD which covered Rhyl for that period

However - if there are a lot - it's difficult
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Hi valerie1

For a start Rhyl is in Flintshire, not Denbighshire.

There is a baptism in 4 Oct 1908 at Rhyl, William Williams son of William & Grace of 6 Crescent Place, a Bottler by trade. could this be him?

Thank you for the reply Carole, I'm sorry  I posted in the wrong area Colin, thank you for the reply yes this is William, he was adopted by his his paternal grandmother after his Mother died and his Father was killed in 1918 in France.
I am now hoping to track his life.

Thank you once again

Re: William Williams born about 1885/7 his father WIlliam WIlliams

Thank you for the offer Colin, I have found n the 1901 census a family Wiliam Head wife Emily and 3 other children inc WIlliam who is about 14 so age about right there in Rhyl, I can't find them in the census before that.
I guess I best try and find William's  BC then if the mother is right I can go from there.
William the father of my William I seeking ( all these WIlliams ), on the certificate it staes  his father WIlliam WIlliams was a tailor or a Jailor but the WIlliams I found in the 1901 census says a labourer.
So any advice would be welcome wonder if the adoption was made legal by the paternal grandmother ?

Thank you
