Sorry, it's taken me so long but I have the marriage certificate.

Her parents are Patrick Cassidy and Annie Cassidy,M.S.Stafford. She was 21 on the 31st of July 1916 when they married. I believe she had a brother George Cassidy who was a witness at the wedding.

I have just re-read this - it looks as though the christening I found for Robert is right, I had not noticed Annie's Maiden surname on the marriage

Look up for Patrick Cassidy born abt 1861 married to Annie Cassidy maiden name Stafford. I know that in 1901 they were in Glasgow but they had 4 sons born in Ireland.

This may be the family in 1901 Living at 37, Albert Street, Govan

Unfortunately, Patrick was born just before the start of birth registration (1864) so you need to search for a baptismal record.

I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind doing a search for Mary's birth on Scotland's people. I have seen the six Mary's and I'm a bit lost looking for a one in Govan.

I think I may be missing something.

On Scotlands People use to bottom place names on the search section to select Govan and only one
 Ann Cassidy birth comes up between 1894-1896
