I dont see a problem with the Girls being Christened/Baptised after their Father was deceased.
I am sure it would have been known who their Father was in the British Community at that time.
Not every one was Religious and maybe the Mother was the one who wanted them Christened/Baptised.
I just took it for granted that that Elizabeth L Elliott was Charles Hay Elliotts Daug given that she married in Glous around the same time as her Sister.
This confirmed it;
On the 28th Sept at Silchar, Cachar, Lower Assam, Henry Elliott e/s of Henry William JEWESBURY esq, of 23 Sunderland Terrace, Westbourne Park and Grandson of the late Col Charles Hay Elliott.

Now with a name Sauvagete I presume a French connection further back.
I would be looking for a possible Baptism for Charles Hay E and a Elliott/Hay Marriage that may be his Parents.
Whether he was born in England or India may be the question.
Also if someone could look up those Glous Marriages for the Girls the Witnesses may be a help.
