Cavers in a Hamlet near Hawick and Bedrule
Minto is a village neighbouring Denholm near Hawick
Wilton is now part of Hawick, but was a parish in its own right in the past

Irvine is a common name in Roxburgh

Thomas Irvin late tenant in Whitehaugh buried at Cavers 21 Dec 1739 aged 62 and his spouse Jean who died 11 Feb 1765 ged 74

Walter Irvine late of North House buried at Cavers died 21 Aug 1792 aged 75 also Andrew Irvine of Hawick who died 20 Jun aged 83 and his wife May Rogers who died 19 Sep 1841 aged 45 and their children Walter who died 14 Nov 1827 aged 7, Alexander James who died 1 Mar 1841 aged 12, Allison who died 20 Aug 1831 17mths, Mary their Youngest who died 16 Feb 1919 aged 36

Also, Andrew Irvine late tenant of Monkscroft who died 13 May 1756 aged, his spouse Bessie Turnbull wo died 26 Oct 1768 aged 66 their children Jean and John (4th son a joiner) died 1768, James (3rd son  tenant at Horsleyhill who died 17 Jun 1771 aged 44, William late magistrate in Hawick who died 17 Mar 1806 aged 66and his spouse Janet Smith who died 2 Dec 1818

Alison Irvine (wife of George Davidson late merchant in Hawick) who died 19 Feb 1869 78.75 yrs
