Lookup request - children of Edward Taylor and Margaret Bennie Coulson

Is it possible to do a search at New Register House for births using the parents' names? If so, is there SKS who could help with a check for the children of Edward Taylor and Margaret Bennie Coulson, born in Glasgow (possibly Dennistoun) about 1915 to 1930.

I know of one son, George Coulson Taylor, born about 1923 who was KIA on 15 May 1944 in Italy. His records says he was born in Glasgow.

He had at least one sibling, Edward D. Taylor, was the informant on his uncle's death certificate in 1947.

I've done a quick search on Scotlandspeople but with such a common surname as Taylor, it's difficult to narrow down the possibilities.

Not in that time frame. Mothers' surnames were only included in the indexes from about 1928.

I tried coming at it from another angle and checked for Taylor deaths, mother's maiden name Coulson.

Two came up - Jane Taylor died Irvine Ayrshire 1985
and Donald Taylor died 2013 Tain Ross and Cromarty.

But I ran out of credits before I could check the certificates. I'll need to get another SP voucher - in the meantime if anyone's going to New Register House, I'd love to know if the mother's name matches ie Margaret Bennie Coulson.

There may be another one, there's a death for an unknown surname, other name Taylor, mother ms Coulson, so that would be a female whose married name we don't know?  So I think you have three to check out.

I hadn't been able to find a marriage of a Margaret Coulson to a Taylor but I just checked the indexes on SP and found a possible marriage in 1920 in Calton Glasgow which is where she was born. Only trouble is the groom is not Edward Taylor. Maybe she was married before and her first husband died.

There are two marriages for an Edward Taylor to a Margaret unknown in Glasgow between 1921 and 1944.
