Michael Walker - Abney -birth/marriage c 1770

Is anyone able to confirm the birth of a Michael Walker in Abney about 1770 please?

He appears to  have married a Margaret unknown in about 1795 - their child William was baptised in Tideswell in 1797.

As far as I can remember nothing came of my enquiry.

I think I was trying to clarify for myself a possible error in someone elses tree.

Michael is a very unusual name in my branch of the Walkers - only one since c1710!

Ye, unusual name in my ancestry also, which make me suspicious. Could I ask if you are sure that the William Walker b.19 Aug 1797 is your ancestor? Could be mine, but could equally be William b. 1 Jul 1796 to John and Ellen (Tideswell PR).

I came to the conclusion that none of those you mention  above are mine! Another researcher has assumed that William bapt in Tideswell was ours because of where he was bapt. Infact I don't believe he or the father Michael are ours. I would have to try and find my old notes to confirm all the details. 

Are you looking into Walkers from Tideswell or elsewhere? Mine are basically Tideswell in the late 1700s.

Mine are very much Walkers of Tideswell. They didn't get out much.
