halladay family help needed

can anyone help?
I am trying to find further information on William Coxon Halladay (b1861 willington, d1901 Gloucestershire). I have his later life, but am looking for siblings and parents.  I have a name of Thomas Coxton halladay(b1835) as a potential father.  I seem to have hit a dead end 
any help would be appreciated. thanks

Willington was part of Burton on Trent registration district and WCH's birth was registered there in the first quarter of 1861. Vol 6B Page 294.

The 1871 gives him as nephew of Thomas & Julia Bardwell

He is with Rosamund Halliday in 1861 and described as cousin age 2 months with no middle name or initial.  I wonder if he is illegitimate, I think the birth cert is the only way you will find out in the absence of a baptism.

Thanks Rosie and Shaun - I received a birth cert today, but no father given   
Mother is Maria Halladay, so i'll see what I can find out about her.

It is a possibility that the father has the surname Coxon but it is something you may never be able to prove.
