Hi Emma,

Just checked one of the Certs and it states that Peter and Mary were married on the 22nd August 1850 at Paxton Toll.

Bad news I'm afraid. The two books I have are:

Irregular marriages recorded in the Berwick Advertiser and other border papers 1808 to 1864
Irregular Border Marriages Volume I 1833-1849

The second book, described as Marriages at Lamberton Toll, does have Paxton Toll marriages in it, I think the same man did both. It stops just too early and I'm afraid we don't have volume II. We have tried to get it but it's out of print I think. It's copyright is the Northumberland & Durham Family History Society so perhaps if you contact them they may be able to help.

Emma
