Thomas Homer Drake.... Who is up for a challenge?
« on: Saturday 20 September 14 15:48 BST (UK) »
I have never been able to find where my gg grandfather died or where he is buried.

Thomas "Homer" Drake
Son of Francis P Drake and Mary Ann Carpenter
Born: Ohio 1835
Siblings: James, Ellenor, Jemima, Barbour, Seth

Married: Sara Mineard in Ritchie Co. WV in 1862
Children: Barber, Edwin, Mary, John, William, Francis

aprox ,1867 family moves to Richland County, WI.  Wife dies in 1880 and according to family bible Thomas Homer died "last day of may 1900"

No idea where he died... In Wisconsin or another state... Or where he is buried.

Can anyone help?

If you look in the D section of the third row of databases, there is a T.B. Drake mentioned in a newspaper on 2 Jun. 1900.  http://www.tc.umn.edu/~jorda014/  A tree on familysearch.org seems to have his middle initial as B, so it may be the same man.

Thanks Shelly. Yes, it must be his death notice but the Wisconsin Historical Society has the microfilm so I cant access it.

I am sure it must indicate where he died as there is no death certificate in Richland County where he lived.

Drat!
