Sat 5 July 10.00 - 14.00. Simon Fowler will be lecturing at 11.00 on How to Research your WW1 Ancestors. Simon has written several well-known books on military and family history, including: Tracing Your Army Ancestors. He will be looking at the basic sources as well as some less obvious ones including one or two at Hertfordshire Archives.

Staff will be on hand throughout the day to show you how to use the internet to uncover more about your family history. Historic documents relating to Hertfordshire's experience of the war will also be on display.

Hi

Hertfordshire Archive is at the Register Office Block, County Hall, Pegs's Lane, Hertford, SG13 8 EJ

The event is free and you don't need to book.

If you are coming by car, there is a free car park at County Hall.

Hope to see you there.
