Publication on Hynes of Athlone area, as cited by Ryan
« on: Tuesday 27 August 13 19:38 BST (UK) »
Sources for Irish Family History, by James G. Ryan (pub. 2001) cites a publication: A study of the surname Hynes as found in Athlone and surrounding area.  Edward A. Hynes, 1981.  Does anyone know anything further about this item or its author?  Manuscript?  Location?  I've checked WorldCat.  Thanks for any tips.

Hi AEG

As a start I would contact Athlone library on athlib(at)westmeathcoco.ie and reference the enquiry to Gearoid O'Brien, the senior librarian. He has written many books and articles on the history of Athlone and runs the local studies unit in the library.

As its published in 1981 i would guess its long out of print so trawling the second hand dealers might be worth a try.
