Hi Ken,

I have downloaded copies of the army lists from the archives. There is no index for 1759-61 which makes it hard but I'm slowly trying to go through them all.

My John Edwards was born about 1743, so there definitely was time for him to have a number of careers. I have a feeling he may have been on half pay and was resurrected in 1775 to fight in the American war...in which case the other John Edwards is not him. The half pay lists do not seem to list everyone on half pay, so I'm wondering if they are only included in the year they first went on to half pay.

I might concentrate on the 1775 LG...although I have looked and have had no luck so far.
