McCreery....Drawn a blank

I have completely hit a brick wall with my ggggrandfather John McCreery, he was born in Tyrone c1819, he married Mary in 1838-39 in Ireland and had thier daughter ann in c1838, they moved to Chester Cheshire in around 1840 from Ireland (Tyrone?) where John joined the Chester police force in 1840. The rest of his family were all born in Chester, John Buchanan McCreery 1842, James 1844, Hugh 1846 and Robert 1848.  Johns father was called Hugh and was a farmer according to Johns second marriage certificate of 1858. I just cannot find where they resided in Tyrone as that would be a start, if anyone could help i'd be very greatful. And also why Buchanan-McCreery? I have seen 2 Andrew Buchanan McCreerys, the youngest being born in 1858 in Chester but his father was James and i cannot link the two at the moment to my lads!!

On the County Tyrone website there's a marriage on 10/12/1842 for Margaret, daughter of Hugh McCreery of Crossbuoy, County Tyrone.  - website is www.cotyroneireland.com
