The 1841 census also includes a 15 year old Charlotte Bains, which ties up with a tree on another site that says Hannah's maiden name was Baines.

Mark

some  trees  on another site have   Hannah's surname  as Cunningham  too ,  marrying  John  in 1825 in Colchester   pity    none  have the childrens  birth   certs  up ,  as that  would confirm  the maiden  name !

I saw those and my spirits dropped, one tree had Hannah Baines and another Hannah Baines/Cunningham; too much copy and pasting and too little research.
A John Webb did marry a Hannah Cunningham at St Giles, Colchester in 1825, but there is no evidence that Baines and Cunningham are one and the same.

I'm confused ... It's been a long week (and it's only Thursday!)
Where are we saying mary Ann Webb was born? I've looked at the PRs for fingringhoe and St osyth, but no mary ann Webb baptised there.
There was a mary Webb base born baptised in Langenhoe in jun 1838 to Mary Webb.
