Problematic Welsh words.

I wonder if I have selected the best county. When using my computer to translate a column in Welsh from a newspaper there were a couple of words that remained unchanged. The words were “madredig” associated with suicide position  and “euderbyn”  associated with clothes.
Can anyone suggest what words would be good translations. Many thanks in anticipation, Toby.

"madredig" = festered, putrified, rotten, corrupt

"euderbyn" - could it be two separate words "eu derbyn"?

Oops! Forgot to add -

"eu" = them;
"derbyn = accept/receive,

Would "accept/receive them" make sense in the context?

That makes sense Hanes Teulu. There were 2 accounts and one of them separates "eu" from "derbyn". " Madredig" speaks for itself. I now get the sense of what was being said.
