Here is a link to digitised SMH for Aug 5 1981 which has death notice that Leanne mentioned for Arthur Ball.  The deaths are on page 15 (according to box at top) which is actually page 29 of newspaper.

WOW!!
I can't believe all the info that's coming through, William and Annie's family back in Sheffield are astounded by what you have all found. They honestly thought he'd gone to Australia and that was that!
Do you know if any of these people, ie Annie and Williams grandchildren are still alive?
It would be wonderful to get in touch with them and tell them of the family in Sheffield they have never met or even knew about.

Thank you so much

I wonder if anyone could tell me if there is a death notice for Evelyn Ball. Both her husbands passed away (George Stanley Tolsher and Arthur Henry Ball) some years ago. Evelyn was born in 1920 in Sheffield, England and came over to Australia with her parents Annie and a William Ashton in 1923.

Thank you in advance

Kerry.

The Ryerson index has a number of deaths for people named Evelyn Ball

http://ryersonindex.net/search.php

Click on the Link "locating a notice" and there are various ways to locate copies of the notices.

Hi. Just thought that I would add..... that the phone directory for NSW is online. Might be worth looking for Tolsher in the Sydney area perhaps (is that the surname for Evelyn's children???).
If you want to contact descendants, you could also get someone to look for them in the Electoral Roll (which is not available online unfortunately).
Katharine.
