I sent my email at 9:24 to 'eregistry_support@agd.nsw.gov.au'  and they replied from same addy!

Their message that came across the screen read "" Internal error
Please pass below information to the technical staff for investigation Date and Time: 01/09/2014 09:16:28 Error Code: 1251:1275916884"   so I simply copied and pasted it into my email at 9:24 and then added my own comments giving them details as to what I was doing at that time.

OH says next time I should inform them "I was looking at my puter screen and your message appeared and in my haste to alert you to this internal error I missed out on a wonderful cup of tea"  (and then he muttered 'for all the good it will do them')

That's too good to be their Tech support ....

As far as I am concerned, I cannot see how their left hand knows what their right hand is meant to be doing...

Don't bother with this phone number.  I have just wasted time and energy speaking with a person there.  They basically only deal with marriage celebrants enquiries.... YET it is the phone no. listed on the email I received from them.    They asked me to send their email BACK to them and also my email TO THEM, so they could re-direct it to 'reception' for them to answer. 

CONVOLUTION after convolution.

I think I will write the letter to the NSW AG after I calm down.   I remember that the first formalised BDM civil system was established by Governor Macquarie back in 1810 and for several decades operated out of the old Supreme Court system started by Sir Francis Forbes... with John Gurner as the Registrar of the then Supreme Court. 

I think their old manual paperwork admin system is likely to be far more efficient to handle complaints than this current attempt.

When I phoned that Sydney number, they finally answered and mumbled words in a very hasty manner.  So I said "Is this the NSW Births Deaths and Marriages technical support".    They replied "IT DEPENDS"...
